Julie Reading

Hi, my name is Julie and I have been teaching Hatha yoga for 20+ years. Having attained both my Foundation 1 and 2 with British Wheel of Yoga I then went on to achieve my Diploma.

I am very passionate about yoga and can’t speak too highly about the amazing benefits that can be achieved which include:

  • better sleep
  • reduce stress
  • improve balance and core strength
  • relieve neck and back pain
  • lower levels of depression
  • muscle strength
  • greater flexibility
  • enhance mindfulness

Hatha yoga is a connection of the mind, body and breath.

It involves the practice of physical postures (asanas), awareness of the breath (pranayama) to help develop mental focus and meditation (dyana).

Hatha tends to be a slower form of yoga and is ideal for beginners. It has a great emphasis on pose instruction and gives modifications for all levels.

I enhance my teaching by personally experiencing different yoga classes, attending workshops and going on yoga retreats.
